Full-Page Profile Pic

I love tinkering on such small things. Staying up late for just about anything. Then I stumbled upon this great new "Facebook Profile Hack" as they call it. It is not a hack on Zuckerberg's baby but it is actually a series of photos placed together to create a seamless continuity. It's like pimping your own profile.

Here's what I did:

Here are the Steps
  • Find a quality picture of your face or some curious scenario (drawing, message, etc... be creative)
  • Use the form below to upload your picture, getting in return a ZIP file that contains sliced pictures ready to post to Facebook!
  • Facebook posting instructions:
    • First, replace your profile image with the elongated 180x540 image
    • Then, upload the 5 small 97x68 images to a new album, in order from left to right (1, 2, ...)
    • Finally, tag yourself in these 5 small images, in order from right to left (backwards)
    • Adjust your bio to take up zero lines (so that images align). This means removing education, work, and location information from your profile. Don't worry, you can add it back later.
    • Note that you'll need to view your profile from another account (or while not logged in) to verify that it's displaying correctly (that's because Facebook adds extra line to your bio while you're logged in)

Looked too taxing for you? Well here's a tip: Go to your Facebook page then search for Schweppes, you know, the beverage brand that is sold around the world. It includes a variety of carbonated water and ginger ales. Click on "Like" then It'll direct you to the app. Schweppes, sponsored the Facebook app to create and preview the profile pictures. (Somebody has to sponsor this app to run, ya know).

Cheers!

Handbook 2011

Health:
1.       Drink plenty of water.
2.       Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.
3.       Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is
          manufactured in plants
4.       Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy
5.       Make time to pray.
6.       Play more games
7.       Read more books than you did in 2010.
8.       Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day
9.       Sleep for 7 hours.
10.    Take a 10-30 minutes’ walk daily. And while you walk, smile.

Personality
:
11.    Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
12.    Don't have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy

         in the positive present moment.
13.    Don't overdo. Keep your limits.
14.    Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
15.    Don't waste your precious energy on gossip.
16.    Dream more while you are awake
17.    Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need
18.    Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner with His/her mistakes of the past.

That will ruin your present happiness.
19.    Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.
20.    Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
21.    No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
22.    Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn.  Problems are simply part of the

curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will
         last a lifetime.
23.    Smile and laugh more.
24.    You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree...

Society
:
25.    Call your family often.
26.    Each day give something good to others.
27.    Forgive everyone for everything.
28.    Spend time w/ people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6.
29.    Try to make at least three people smile each day.
30.    What other people think of you is none of your business.
31.    Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.

Life
:
32.    Do the right thing!
33.    Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
34.    GOD heals everything.
35.    However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
36.    No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
37.    The best is yet to come.
38.    When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it.
39.    Your Inner most is always happy. So, be happy.

Adieu! Je Suis Gourmand

First Monday of 2011 and this is what I saw. A closed-door Gourmand with tables and chairs piled up in the corner. I learned the news about it's closure last December from a waiter who works at the establishment. He was my officemates' cigarette buddy. He told us that Gourmand is not doing so well and had to close it's doors due to high pay rent and costs of raw ingredients.

We asked him "but the restaurant is always packed with celebrities and politicians even local and international athletes, why the closure?" It wouldn't suffice. he said. Dang, I've seen the most influential personalities dined here: From Imelda Marcos, Manny Villar, Gloria Arroyo, Jamby Madrigal, Richard Gordon to Kobe Bryant, Kuya Kim Atienza, Aga Mulach and faces that you know are influential because their face's shines. Not to mention those 2010 election months, this joint is packed that the whole stretch of 3rd avenue is a makeshift parking lot for luxury cars, escort SUVs and motorcycles (wang-wang is not yet banned). We drooled over Audi R8's, Porche's, Ferrari's, Escalades and Lambo's.

I had witnessed the awesomeness and the crowd-drawning, Je Suis Gourmand. Never had the chance to dine here though. Never. I had been a gazer in the area. I had my chance of dining here courtesy of my office mate. She told me last December that she'll treat me here before it closes it's door. But I turned down the chance and decided to eat at Friday's. A sudden guilt and sadness that I had given the chance to try their Foie Gras & Saffron Risotto but my teammates won't.

Howell, now me and the rest of the team will have to create or discover another venue to talk about. No more who's who and luxury cars. No more shabby chicks and those "dressed-to-the-nines" guests. Time to use that what we call imagination. Adieu! Je Suis Gourmand, I'm going up to my office now and I hope to see you again somewhere. anywhere.
